INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new apparatus, please read
thisuserguidecarefullybeforeusingitforthersttime.
We also recommend that you keep the instructions for
future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the
functions of your apparatus.

• Incorrect use of this apparatus may cause personal
injury and damage.
• Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer
is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee
Terms).
• For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or
commercial use.
• The charger of the appliance is for connection to
230 V, 50 Hz only.
• Only use the enclosed charger to recharge the
battery of the appliance, and do not use any other
batteries than the enclosed one.
• Take the adaptor out of the socket after charging.
• Keep the cord and apparatus away from heat
sources,hotobjectsandnakedames.
• The motor, the adaptor, the charger and the battery
of the appliance must not be immersed into water or
any other liquid.
• Never touch the apparatus, cord or plug with wet or
damp hands.
• Never leave the apparatus unattended when it is
switched on.
• Keep children under supervision when in use.
• Donotusetheappliance,ifthelterpadandthe
lterholderhavenotbeenattached,asthiscould
damage the appliance.
• Only use accessories manufactured or
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use to vacuum up matches, hot ashes,
cigarette butts, hard or sharp objects, combustible
materials (petrol, solvents, etc.) or vapour from
these.
• Donotusetovacuumnesandordust–e.g.
plaster, brick dust and the like.
• Do not cover the ventilation holes.
• Ensure that you keep clothing, hair and body parts
away from the nozzle and moving parts of the
appliance.
• Regularly check that neither cord nor plug is
damaged and do not use if they are, or if the
appliance has been dropped or damaged in any
other way.
• If the appliance, the adaptor, the cord, the
charger or the battery are damaged, they must
be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an
authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock. Never try to repair the apparatus
yourself.Unauthorisedrepairsormodicationsto
the appliance will invalidate the guarantee. Please
contact the store where you bought the appliance
for repairs under guarantee.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST
TIME
Battery charging
For safety reasons, the battery (10) is not charged,
when the appliance leaves the manufacturer. Therefore,
you must always start by charging the battery fully.
NOTE: Immediately after use, the battery may be hot.
Leave the battery to cool for approx. 30 minutes before
charging in order to obtain the best result.
1. Insert the adapter (19) into the mains socket, and
connect the cord to the charger (17).
2. Switch on the power. The green power indicator
marked “POWER” on the charger is lit.
3. Insert the battery in the charger: The red charging
indicator marked “CHARGE” on the charger is lit.
4. Leave the battery to fully charge – approx. 18
hours. The red indicator remains lit, for as long as
the battery is in the charger. Switch off the power,
and remove the adaptor from the socket after
charging is completed.
