MODEL DESCRIPTION
This pump is intended to be used with ARO model 67165ĆX Solenoid AcĆ
tuation Kit to create a remotely controlled pumping system.
This is a standard 1/4" diaphragm pump which has been specially modiĆ
fied to provide external control of the pump cycling. This is done by tapĆ
ping into the minor air valve body and extending a tube outside the pump
body. This tube is connected to a solenoid.
NOTE: The pump will not function without the use of an external solenoid
valve.
Theory of Operation
When the solenoid is deĆenergized, one air chamber inside the pump is
pressurized with air, while the other chamber is exhausted. As the soleĆ
noid is shifted, the pressurized chamber is exhausted while the the opĆ
posite chamber is pressurized. By alternately applying and removing
power, the solenoid operated pump performs like a standard ARO diaĆ
phragm pump.

Model series 650771ĆXĆB are similar to standard models in the
PD02PĆX diaphragm pump series. Most of the parts used in these modĆ
els are standard. The parts exceptions for these models are indicated in
the view below.
637304Ć2 air valve kit assembly is similar to 637276 (refer to PD02PĆX
Operator's Manual) with the exception of the items listed below.
