Electronic Thermostat
TL7230A 69-1801 3/5/05 1/1
Honeywell’s TL7230A thermostat can be connected to an electric
heater to control the room temperature.
To remove the control module from the
power base, loosen the captive screw
underneath the thermostat and pull the
two components apart as shown.
To install the control module onto the
power base, reverse the above proce-
dure.
NOTE: Always keep the thermostat's vents
clean and unobstructed.
Turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature. The temperature
setting at the minimum position is 45°F (7°C).
Two potentiometers, on the back of the control
module, set the minimum and maximum
temperature limits. For example, even if the
temperature adjustment knob is placed at 86°F,
the temperature will be maintained at 77°F if the
maximum temperature limit is set to 77°F.
Use a flat-tip screwdriver to rotate each
potentiometer until its notch points to the desired
temperature limit. Each potentiometer setting
corresponds to a temperature setting:
:
Power supply: refer to the power base installation instructions
Setpoint range: 45°F, 59°F to 95°F (7°C, 15°C to 35°C)
Minimum temperature limit: 41°F to 77°F (5°C to 25°C)
Maximum temperature limit: 59°F to 95°F (15°C to 35°C)
Accuracy: 0.9°F (0.5°C)
Storage: -4°F to 120°F (-20°C to 50°C)
Heating cycle length: 15 minutes
