Kenmore Sewing Machine 385.16520000

Have a problem with foot setting

I have had this machine for more than six years. Today, for the first time I switched the length to the SS side. This caused the foot settings to skip over the red patterns and instead fall on the brawn and the rest of the patterns. I tried switching the lengths back to its original position but did not fixed the problem. Please help me to solve this problem.
