adding a second remote

I do not have owners manual for system. Only had one remote control and I purchased a second, identical, one yesterday. I opened the back, per the included instructions, and set the jumper switches in the new one to match the existing one. New one does not work, and now the original one does not work. It did last night. HELP! Calling Sears was a nightmare, and got me no help. picture of front attached, but could not get clear pic of back.
