Moen Faucet 7300

Disassembly and removal from top of sink
Posted by cklaer1 on Sep 21st, 2008 at 2:18pm

I have a Moen 7300 Kitchen Faucet with a separate handle from the spigot. The spigot is on a long tube which can be raised and lowered. The square iron washer that helps brace the spigot from under the counter has self destructed.
I've removed the Moen plastic cap and the screw under it hoping to be able to drop the spigot down rather than fight with the nut from underneath.
Is there a way, or do I have to manage from underneath. The sink is a deep sink, and the space is tight.
