Question About Singer Sewing Machine 6235
My stitch balance control does not move at all on ...

My stitch balance control does not move at all on Singer Model # 6235. I have taken it apart to grease and oil it and could not see any reason that it does not turn. It is the large round ring behind the stitch selector ring. Any help would be appreciated.
