Bryant Heat Pump Heat Pump

AC inop, warm air

HeatPump, unit residential approx.20 yr. old, home is approx. 900 sq. ft. Had recharged 60 days ago, charged for 4 lb. fr. 22
I recharged mysrelf, 3 lb, worked 1 day. Now warm again and outside unit shuts down, inside fan still running, electrical draw. Low pressure gauge stays pegged as if compressor is not coming on.
What do I need to check. ?

    Check for leak, by the way what are you doing recharging a unit yourself?
