My Moore-O-Matic XX133 seems to have a unique problem. I believe I have performed all the Operator Manual tests to no avail. Here are the symptoms. First, about 25% of the time it operates beautifully. Now, let’s say it is up and I push the button to close. It starts down but acts like the infrared sensor has detected something in the way. But upon further examination nothing is in the way. Besides if the door is closed and it decides to fail on opening, it gives the same kind of behavior. It goes up about 1 foot then returns to about 4 inches off the floor. Whether it is up or down, it acts like the infrared is telling it to reverse. At this point I detach the door and raise and lower it manually. I continue to try the remote from time to time, with the door unhooked, and get the exact same behavior for 3 or 4 days or sometimes a month. Then miraculously it works fine, usually about I or 2 days at the most. Are there other tests that I can perform? Is there a way to disconnect the infrared detector to see if it is responsible? My gut feeling is it works better in the winter than the summer. I’m in Atlanta GA. Sincere Thanks, Wayne

1 I have the same problem. Only it happens to me all the time. I installed new sensors and still the same problem. The only way it will open or close is if I hold down the button the entire time. If you find any way to fix this please let me know.
