manual

Just received a great Kenmore 2142 sewing machine but really need a manual. I'm not sure I'm even putting the thread on correctly due to the tightness plus the trouble with the bobbin. Any help with pictures and even sections of the manual to download would be greatly appreciated! I have recently been diagnosed with cancer so I know I will be learning to sew quilts sooner than I had thought. Thank you for your help! Becky J
