    When I wrote to White requesting a manual, this was their response.

    To download your free copy of your "White" manual, please follow these steps:

    1) Go to www.singerco.com
    2) From the "I am looking for" drop down menu, select "Instruction Manuals".
    3) To find your particular manual, enter W and then your model number (W1418) in the search box.
    4) Click on "Search".

    The manual is 31 pages, in pdf format.

    Www.singerco.com had just what I needed. Thanks for the clear directions. WSL534 Now I'll look for manuals for some older machines that I own.
