Help please

The heater won't work. When turned on, it displays 'F' for a few seconds and then shuts off. We're missing owner's manual. Any suggestions how to fix it?

Honeywell oil filled heater HZ-710

but the problems remains. When switched on, the heater shows letter F (Ferenheit?) for a few seconds, and then shuts off.
Any suggestions how to fix it?
