I ordered a 440 QE manual from the Canadian company whose URL is shown below. It cost $13 US with shipping. They did not promise the original manual but perhaps a paper copy as opposed to the CD version others offer.

    My order was rejected because the company is in Canada and PayPal had not yet authorized them as an acceptable company for receiving payments via PayPal.

    My previous post about getting a 440 QE manual from a Canadian company fell flat because the company was not approved by PayPal. For $10 I bought a download of the original manual from sewusa.com, meaning, of course, that I had to cover printing costs but the nice thing is you can print only the pages you need to understand features/parts or procedures. Russ, the guy who operates sewusa.com seems to have just about every sewing machine manual and is responsive to any inquiry. I would do business with him again!
