how to clean in dishwasher

can't find users guide. how do i put the guard on filter before the dishwasher.

    The two plastic grid protective covers slip into the top and bottom metal channels on the front and back of the metal electrostatic filter. you will need to bend them slightly to get them into the channels, but they will then snap in place. Also remember to not use dishwashing detergent. If you use anything, ensure that it is something like Joy dish soap... it must be non-abrassive.
