Can You Help With These Problems?

  Unable to program either keypad or opener
  I bought a home with this GDO and tried to program keypad and opener. Followed instructions on unit: Hold down Button on unit and opener unit unit light flashes. However unit light never flashes. How do I program either or both the keypad and opener?
