  Both smoke detectors are chirping. I have purchased batteries both of them being 9V

  chirping, hard wired smoke detectors
  I have a relatively new home, with a hard wired system of Kidde model 1275 detectors. One of these starts chirping, when least expected. Hitting the test button silenced it the last time, but not this time. And, we have no manual.
