  smoke alarm removed - ceiling is beeping - why?
  My smoke alarm started beeping (usually denoting weak battery). Smoke alarm is wired into 120V also. I replaced battery, and replaced smoke detector, and still beeped. I took down smoke detector, and beeping is still emenating from ceiling where smoke detector was - how can this be? There doesn't seem to be any alarm electronics in the ceiling - just wires for the circuit. I'm stumped - what is going on?

  The clips broke off the ring that connects the smoke detector to the ceiling while battery. I am trying to replace the broken ring part

  Where can I find a replacement plate for attaching my model FX 1218 to the ceiling? The posts broke off when we took it down to replace the battery.
